The Inner Voices: Let us understand this from a communication perspective.
Now, as both individuals hide their real inner voices and speak out only the superficial voices, over a period of time, these inner voices will start to surface in almost every conversation of theirs and suddenly one day they will find themselves in the middle of a difficult conversation that escalates to a point of heated arguments.
Apart from the above inner voices, many times (Rabinowitz, 2002), difficult conversations are an unintentional result of some serious lapses in communication and thinking which include:
